DIGNUS, LLC RELEASES VERSION 1.0 OF THEIR SYSTEMS/ASM ASSEMBLER, AVAILABLE FOR OS/390, z/OS AND AS A WORKSTATION CROSS-ASSEMBLER.

Raleigh, May 1, 2001: Today, Dignus, LLC announces the release of version 1.0 of their assembler product, Systems/ASM. Systems/ASM is a logical extension to Dignus' existing Systems/C product, which generates mainframe assembler source. Now, Systems/C generated, or any HLASM compatible assembler source, can be assembled with Systems/ASM.

Systems/ASM product features:

Compatible with IBM's HLASM assembler.

Available on OS/390, z/OS and Dignus-supported cross-platform hosts; permitting the user to assemble on OS/390, z/OS, AIX, Solaris, Linux, Linux/390 and Windows.

Extensions to aid incorporation of Systems/ASM in cross-platform build environments (e.g. make(1) and Microsoft's Visual Studio).

Extensions and options which integrate well with Systems/C.

Systems/ASM is available as a native assembler for OS/390 and z/OS, or as a cross-assembler hosted on Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux, Linux/390 and FreeBSD. Using Systems/ASM to assemble on cross-platform hosts can result in a significant saving of mainframe cycles, reducing mainframe cost, development time and effort.
